Foldable Cat Scratcher with Ball

I made this work. Honestly buying one did not get what I hoped to achieve. It was enjoyable but forgettable.Linking 2 together was better, but definitely impacts the value per dollar I was expectingIf you want them to move more freely or be larger manually stretch them out by hand. Be careful to make the amount they stretched consistent, they will retain the stretch.To make my cats realize that this is a toy, I seeded it initially with a bit of catnip in the gaps. It got them to come around and play with it, then they understood it.The magnets can be a little wonky during setup initially, but they do work. I’m honestly not sure what changed between my failed setup attempts and successful ones, but they did eventually succeed.For adult cats a happy size and flexibility seems to be 2 of these, slightly stretched out by hand.If you are wondering “do the balls escape” they do not.The material is not easily shredded, but if you stretch them out to increase how easily they can be manipulated it is permanent hard to keep consistent.Photo is 2 linked together, slightly stretched.Overall: achieved the goal of a toy my cats occasionally enjoy that doesn’t involve clawing my side until I participate.

My boy Oliver loved it! He's obsessed with cardboard boxes so he loves getting his scratch on plus teasing him with the balls, this toy has held up with him constantly pouncing and scratching it. You can change around the toy to different shapes to keep things fresh and whatever size the kitty enjoys the most! Nice buy for something simple and fun for the cats!

But once it arrived, I was very impressed by the build. The magnetic latches snap together tight, the paper doesn't shed dust everywhere, and both of my cats take turns sleeping in the center.

Much more durable than traditional flat scratch pads from the local pet mart. Keeps the claws trim and keeps our hallway carpet safe. Easy 4 stars.

Bought this for the scratching and track ball, but my black cat immediately turned the center bowl into his designated nap spot. He sleeps curled up inside it all afternoon, waking up only to paw at the ball. 10 out of 10.

I worried the honeycomb paper might bend or crush if my cat sat on it, but the structural integrity is amazing. He weighs 13 lbs and perches right on the rim to swat the ball beneath him. Holds up like a champ.
